It is with deep regret that I pass on the news that Saphra formerly from Cohort passed away late last night/early this morning suddenly. She was in the middle of a raid when she lost consciousness - her husband (also at the raid) started CPR immediately but from what I understand, was not able to bring her back.

Not sure if any of you know her, but I've known her since her days way back when in EQ1 - she was a great friend and hope she is resting peacefully. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. It wasn't more than a year or so ago that her brother passed away.

I am deeply saddened by this news, Saphra will be missed. She had a lot of chats with me when we first began raiding with CC. I so stunned right now don't know what to say.

I am still just floored. I posted on cohort.nemisiis.net but from the message Avanya posted there - I guess Saphra wasn't in Cohort anymore? That kind of rings a bell. But it's been a while.

So - Brendil if you can get an address and any OGS would like to chip in for flowers lets make that happen from OGS. She was always a very fair raid leader, a great ear... and just the sweetest person I have ever had the pleasure of playing with.

I modified my original message - I still thought she was in Cohort, but guess not. I know she was in one or two guilds in EQ1 (KoL or KoR comes to mind).

As for an address, I'll see what I can find out.

I am still trying to get my Jaw up off the floor, Paul let me know where to send the money for the flowers. I'm still debating on if I'll be on tonight or making fire outside and having few friends over to have few drinks and toasting the dearly departed.

Sometimes when you play in the online world it is easy to forget there are real people behine the toon on the screen. Of course over time you build relationships with them just as you do in the so-called real world. Some may be just an encounter here and there, some are like those you work with in your job. Others are as close as your best friends or family. When things like this happen it does make you realize that the only difference between the Online World and the Real World is how you picture the people.

I'm a little sadder now than I was when I made my first post. I've been thinking, maybe a little too much, about all my online friends. My heart does go out to Saphra and to all her friends and family in both worlds. She will definitely be missed.

I did not know here but I'm sad to hear this.

For me Saphra was a shining Star in EQ, she would give what ever was needed, be undstanding when needed and always fun to group or raid with. I did have a few talks with here after she left CC for For Hire, she was happy there. As many have already said this was a real shock, she will be missed

OK, I am 2 years late. I am truly sorry.

I have been away, but I remember her also from EQ1. I am saddened by the loss of a member of our gaming community.

I do hope that everyone is do well in their lives.
