Ok Here goes my list of Books that I go back and re-read again when feeling a bit under the weather. I warn you, I use the long practiced Drunken Monkey art of choosing the books I read.

First off: Laughing Robert Asprin's Mtyh series - I Love these books Laughing

and now for the rest of my Library:

Very Happy Tracy Hickman & Margaret Weis Dragonlance Books, Really Enjoyed the Twins series. Also, they later did the Death Gate series.

Shocked David Drake - Hammers Slammers These are from days in the Navy
Can't remember the writer think they was more than one on the Bolo series

David Eddings - Elenium series starting with the Diamond Throne - and Sir Sparhawk Wink

Poul Anderson - Time Patrol Smile

Of course I have read many more books than this but these are the few I find myself going back from time to time to re-read, I also recommend reading some Ancient Classics such as the Illiad, Odyssey these are ageless stories for all.

Yes! Love his Phule series also, I was very very sad when he passed away. :(

They were some of my first traditional actual fantasy. I'm not that much on their style of "Epic" fantasy though. Twins were good though, I agree!

Drake is awesome, I haven't read the Hammer Slammers, but have read a lot of his other work.

David Eddings - Elenium series starting with the Diamond Throne - and Sir Sparhawk Wink

All Hail Eddings!!!

Poul Anderson - Time Patrol Smile
Again..read some of his I believe, but not this one. I oughta track some of these down!

Hmm, lemme see here:

Tolkien - that's a given
Eddings - well duh

Completely forgot about the Dragonlance Series, thanks for reminding me Ratti - read em all and probably still have them stuck in a box someplace.

How about the Shannara (Shard, Elfstone, etc) series? There were also a few by Gary Gygax (Gord the Rogue/etc) that I liked also - and I'm not talking about the D&D books.

Hmm, going to have to think about this some more and do some research Smile

GOrd= awesome. I own every novel The Gygax wrote, including the 3 Mysterious Journey's or whatever ones. Shanara is also rather awesome.

Good stuff!

Oh, then there's Piers Anthony and Xanth...

W00t for Anthony! A spell for Chameleon and Source of Magic were two of the first fantasy "novels" I read. Before that it was mostly kids books and such. Imagine trying to do a book report on source of magic ... *grin* Without having read chameleon first at that!

You ever read any of his older stuff? Not the Blue Adept books, i mean the stuff from the 70s. Those are..uhm.... a bit different.

Read the Adept series. Loved them.
Sharon Greene was one I read too. The one with the cats. (can't remember the names)

Another I read and I STILL Can't believe i read something so damn WRONG lol (Women only alowed to be slaves! How rude) was the Gor series. Hell I've all over the place too in my reading what can I say

You mean Firefly? The "horror" that was border line porn?

Don't know Firefly. I mean like Mutant I think it was, or Mute, and the Tarot trilogy. Not the sci-fi body swappin' one that came later, I mean the original. It's... Veeeery controversial and religious. Still good, but not a light read.

Not heard of those Zynty But Firefly was wicked evil and they couldn't do it as a movie I don't think.
