Yesterday 9-10 I had an Angiogram to check on the condition of my arteries around my heart. Found out they are in great shape, the term they used was "very minor narrowing" which was VERY good news. This all came about becuse of a heart defect I have had sinse birth with one of my heart valves and its come time to replave it (like in the next month at most). So what this means I have to have a valve replacement operation in the next couple weeks, not sure when, will find out Monday.

Dave had a successful surgery. It was good that they got to the valve when they did as it was heavily calcified. He is currently in the ICU and they tell us he is doing fine.

We went to visit Dave again this morning and he's doing really well. They took the tube out of his mouth last night, so he's able to talk again. He was pretty drugged up, so conversation was entertaining. I think the best measure of how he's doing is the fact that he asked for rum, never mind that he was in a hospital bed and it was ten in the morning. That's Dave for ya.

Uh they DO have alcohol in a hospital. Granted it is for sterilizing things. Just add a stick of sugar cane and voila! Rum! May want to add some water too. 200 proof may have a bit of a bite to it.

And no, I do not make my own alcoholic beverages!

Sounds like he will be back among us soon!! Woohoo!!
